Courage to celebrate.
Where do I find,
My God in Heaven on high,
The courage to celebrate?!
To celebrate victory, when the war is far from over,
Peace, when the storm is still raging,
Clarity, when confusion still reigns,
Redemption, when regret claws my heart,
Love, when pain is all I feel.
How blessed it is to wait with expectation,
That the Lord would keep His word,
That deliverance won’t be delayed.
And to expect with Joy for all that is promised to me.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
Psalms 30:5 NKJV
Waited while I struggled with self-doubt,
And then You waited,
While I still struggled with self-doubt.
While I kept fighting the same failure,
Tripping over the same trap, time and again,
You just waited patiently.
Knowing I would make it through,
Trusting in me, when even I couldn’t do so.
While I poured out my messy feelings to you,
You waited without judging me.
The Lord of the Universe you are,
But you waited patiently through my Panic attack,
Not once, asking me to pull it together!
Can I ever make it up to you!?
For all those moments you waited.
Like the ever so gentleman you are, My Lord.
Well, one thing I will do,
And I will do it with content.
I will wait,
I will wait on you.
And until you come through,
I will wait for you.
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
